About Me

My work often explores themes around transformation, creative process and the experience of marginalized communities.

I began my career as an assistant editor at a commercial post-house before transitioning to CBS News Productions to assist in the development and production of a series for Discovery Channel. Intermittent freelance work as a camera operator and video specialist for large-scale live events soon gave me the opportunity to break into multiple facets of experiential marketing where I toured the country working on immersive experiences for brands such as American Express, Amazon, and Victoria Secret. Supporting myself through grad school at Columbia University shifted my focus back into film and video production, first producing and directing short films, then briefly expanding into content and platform design for Spotify. My work eventually led me to One X Studios, a subsidiary of Urban One, Inc, the largest Black-owned media company in the country, reaching 82% of Black America across television, radio, web, social, and experiential. During my time here, we were twice voted Best Branded Content Studio. My work as a creative director, producer, editor, and video director has earned 14 Telly Awards, a Radio Mercury Award, a Webby and several other awards from Adweek, Mediapost, Cynopsis and Microsoft.

I sincerely believe that branded and commercial content can add value to our collective experience and Iā€™m passionate about creating organic connections between brands and culture. I have an incredibly unique and diverse professional background that has enabled me to apply practical, well-tested knowledge across a range of processes within creative marketing and video production.
